The Village History Festival
For me, Baula Amabasya of 2024 was not just another day. It became the most special day of my life when our village, Baedapali, celebrated it as the Village History Festival Day.
After months of working with my friends, Prachi Sahu, Punam Bhoi, Laxmi Priya Bhoi, and Laxmi Priya Bhoi, and Kamalini Bariha, we finally completed documenting the history of our village. What followed was magical. Our elders, mothers, and neighbors joined us with joy and pride. Together, we turned Baula Amabasya into a celebration of our roots.
The festival was simple, yet so meaningful. We shared stories, recalled memories, and expressed our gratitude to our land and ancestors. It felt as if our village itself was smiling that day.
