Support Samadhwani

Your Contribution Can Make a Difference

Samadhwani Collective began as a humble initiative to provide a platform for underrepresented and marginalized cultural traditions. Since our inception, we have strived to spotlight the rich, diverse cultural practices often overlooked by mainstream narratives. Grounded in a vision of progressive cultural dialogue, Samadhwani is committed to fostering artistic expression that leads to meaningful social change.

Despite financial constraints, we have continued to organize impactful seminars, workshops, podcasts, video documentaries, and publications that uplift voices from the margins. Our digital platform, launched in 2018, has helped us reach a wider audience across India and beyond.

We have passionately documented and promoted traditional art forms such as Ganda Baja, and celebrated pioneering folk artists like Puspanjali Tandi, whose invaluable contributions to Odisha’s folk theatre performances in Paercha Sati of Khageswar Seth, deserve national recognition.

Today, we seek your generous support to continue our work and expand our efforts. Your contribution will directly help us preserve and celebrate Odisha’s unique cultural legacy.

We are currently seeking support for the following initiatives:

  1. Samaswara Song Recording Series – Traditional and folk music recordings.
  2. Fellowships for Female Folk Artists– Recognizing and supporting women cultural practitioners.
  3. Cultural Research on Vanishing Forms – Gahani, Ushakothi, Dalkhai, and Ganda Baja.
  4. Print & Digital Publications – Including Samadhwani magazine and cultural stories.
  5. Documentary Films – Stories of marginalized artists and disappearing traditions.
  6. Books on Odisha’s Culture – Focused on Syncretism, Food Traditions, and Village Life.
  7. Podcasts with Cultural Voices – Conversations with folk musicians, researchers, and thinkers.
  8. Workshops, Seminars & Outreach – Community engagement and capacity building.

As an independent cultural collective, we rely entirely on the support of individuals, friends, art lovers, and community patrons like you. Every rupee helps us move forward.

Together, we can create a more inclusive and culturally vibrant world.
