It is time we think and care
On the forest, and our most generous, silent friends: the trees.
They ask for nothing, yet give us everything
Air to breathe, shade to rest, life to sustain.
In their quiet world, I have learned something profound
Trees love each other.
They are not rivals, but companions.
One species doesn’t compete with another; instead, they care.
They share.
The strong nourish the weak,
The old protect the young.
Together, they weave a web of life
Regulating the climate, conserving moisture,
Creating a world that breathes coolness and peace.
If we must name it, perhaps it’s a form of tree communism
Where the individual fades, and the community thrives.
In the forest, trees speak in silence,
Feel in stillness,
And live through connection.
Yet we, humans, have long misunderstood them
Seen them as resources, not relationships.
But like us, they cannot live alone.
