ନାମ ପଞ୍ଜିକରଣ

1- ଏହି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମରେ ଯୋଗ ଦେବାପାଇଁ ପ୍ରଥମେ ନାମ ପଞ୍ଜିକରଣ (ରେଜିଷ୍ଟ୍ରେସନ) କରିବାପାଇଁ ପଡିଥାଏ । ତଳେ ରେଜିଷ୍ଟ୍ରସନ ଫର୍ମ ଦିଆଯାଇଛି । ସେହି ଫର୍ମରେ ଦିଆଯାଇଥିବା ବ୍ୟାଙ୍କ କିମ୍ବା UPI ସ୍କାନରେ (Registration Fee = Rs 50/- ) ଫି ଭରି ଏହାର ଏକ ଫଟୋ ରଖନ୍ତୁ । ରେଜିଷ୍ଟ୍ରେସନ ଫର୍ମ ପୂରଣ କରିବାପାଇଁ ଏହା ଜରୁରୀ ।

Village and Culture Preservation Internship Program

 Requirements:

1. Name Registration:

To participate in this program, you must first register your name. The registration form is provided below. Pay the registration fee (Rs 50/-) via bank or UPI scanner mentioned in the form and keep a photo of the payment receipt. Filling out the registration form is mandatory.

2. Submission of Personal Details:

After registration, you must fill out a Google form with your details and press the send button.

3. Submission of Work:

By the end of two months from the registration, one must send his/her document and a PDF copy of their work to the given Email: samadhwani.culturaljournalism@gmail.com

4. Certification:

Participants who submit all the required documents will receive a certificate from Samadhwani Sanskrutika Gabeshana Kendra. Students can download their certificates online.

5.  Registration:

6. Research Notebook Preparation:
A notebook/report must be prepared in the name of your village.

7. First Page Content:

– Include the geographical introduction of the village (district, block, nearby prominent places), a brief historical overview, and the objectives of the research.
– The notebook should also include photographs, drawings, and literary compositions (poems/stories).

Part One – Stories from the Village

1. Old stories of the village:

Collect interviews of grandparents and elderly people from different communities to collect stories about your village.

– What is the name of your village? Are there any old stories or tales related to its name?

– Who first settled in the village and when?

– How was the village earlier? What about forests, rivers, animals, birds, and plants?

– Which festivals were celebrated in the past? What were the popular celebrations?

– How were the relationships among villagers? How did they support each other in joy and sorrow?

– What kind of farming did people do? What did they cook and eat?

– Are there any stories about village deities? How did they protect the village or other related beliefs?

– During floods or droughts, what did people do?

– How were disputes resolved in earlier days?

– How were weddings, births, and deaths observed? What kind of food was prepared during such social events and festivals?

(Note: Always ask for the interviewee’s name and age and write down exactly what they say in your copy.)

 

2. About the present village:

 Gather information personally and also by speaking with elders, parents, or teachers in the village whenever needed.

– How many houses are there now in your village? What is the population? What communities live here?

– What are the major festivals observed in your village? How do you observe them? What traditional foods are cooked during festivals?

– What are the basic facilities of your village? Write in detail about the village facilities like the hospital, school, and water supply.

– What new things are happening in the village? Is the village changing? For example, use of new machines, new school activities – describe them in detail.

3. Stories of farming and food:

Interview farmers and elderly people:

– Meet people involved in farming or other livelihoods, interview them and note their name, age, occupation, and income.

– What crops were grown earlier? Which ones are sold in the market?

– Why are traditional crops like millet (Ragi, little millet, and others) disappearing?

– What foods were eaten in the past? Why are they forgotten now?

– What types of livelihoods are practiced now? Where do they sell their products? How much do they earn?

4. Culture of the village

– Write all the Cultural forms that exist in your village.

– Is drama/theatre performed annually in the village? Who organizes it? Was it done in the past?

– What songs, dances, or traditional arts existed before? (Write down or record old songs, poems, and folk rhythms)

– What games do children play? Are there good players among boys and girls? Is there a playground? What games do you like?

– Does the village have any unique cultural identity? Describe any dance forms, instruments, or other traditional arts.

5. Problems and Daily Life of the Village

– Ask and write after talking to the village elders, school teachers, and knowledgeable people.
– What difficulties exist in the village? What are the main issues and problems?

– Write a short paragraph about the village’s water supply, employment, schools, and healthcare facilities. What are the villagers doing to solve these problems?

– In earlier times, when there was no school in the village, how did children study?
– Is there a school in the village now? Do all children go to school, or are there some who cannot attend? Why are some children unable to study? What do they do instead?

– Are villagers migrating for work (known as ‘Dadan’)? How many people have migrated, and for what kind of work?

– Was there a forest near the village earlier? How much forest was there, and how much remains now? Why has it decreased?

– What did villagers traditionally collect from the forest (like wood, fruits, medicinal plants)?

– Have the water, soil, and air in the village changed? Why do people say the environment has worsened compared to earlier times?

– What kinds of occupations do villagers pursue (such as weavers, blacksmiths, potters, carpenters, masons, fishermen, painters, musical instrument makers)? What difficulties do they face in their occupations?

– How do people from different communities live together in the village? Do they celebrate festivals together?

– Who is the wealthiest person in the village? What does that person do, and how do they live?
– Who is the poorest person? What do they do, and how do they live?

6. Preservation of the Village’s Future

– Why is it important to document the life of the village?
– What new things did I learn by writing the village biography?
– How can we preserve these accounts for future generations?

– What steps can be taken to digitally preserve the village’s culture and history?
– What can you personally do in this regard?

– What role can the youth play in preserving the village’s social and cultural identity?

– After observing the village’s past and present, what is your vision for its future?
Present a creative proposal.

 

Part Two – Culture of the Village

The following topics are optional – you may write on one or two of them based on your interest:

1. Literature of Our Village

• Document the popular folk tales, songs, poems, stories, and traditional rhythms prevalent in your village.
• Are there any old writings (inscriptions, palm-leaf manuscripts, and books) found in your village? What do they tell us about the literary tradition and culture of the village?
• Write a poem, story, or essay based on an event, festival, or cultural context of your village.

2. Cultural Development and Change

• Describe the traditional songs, dances, and art forms of your village.
• What social/religious/caste/community influences can be seen in them?
• How have these traditions evolved into collective practices over time?
• Show how they have changed with time.
• What cultural elements are reflected in your village festivals and customs? Analyze this based on conversations with elderly people.
• How have modernity and education impacted the cultural identity of your village? Analyze with examples.
• From which language and social strata has the local folk literature (songs, poems, sayings, etc.) of your village emerged?

3. Social Structure and Economy

• What kind of relationships exist among different communities in your village?
• Describe the environment of communal harmony in your village and write an essay on it.
• Which festivals or celebrations bring together all the villagers and also see participation from people of neighbouring villages?
• How has the traditional economy of the village (farming, handicrafts, trade, and other livelihoods) changed now, and why?
• What impact has this had on the lifestyle and literature of the village?
• How is labour divided between men and women in the village? What is your study on the education and healthcare systems of the village?
• How has the development of education and literacy influenced local literature and oral traditions? What changes are necessary in this regard?

4. Relationship between Environment and Culture

• How is the natural environment of our village (forest, river, hills) reflected in its folklore and religious beliefs?
• Write about the history and legends behind the naming of these natural elements.
  In earlier times, how did villagers maintain their relationship with nature? How has that changed now?
• How have traditional food and drink, clothing, and lifestyles in the village found a place in its literature and culture?

5. Literary and Research-based Analysis

• Compare the folk ballads or songs heard in the village (the entire body of folklore) with any phase of literature (ancient, medieval, or modern).
• Write a literary piece (poem, story, play, or essay) based on village culture, festivals, or traditions, and analyze the thoughts and ideas behind your creation.
• Write a factual essay on the life and work of a village artist, weaver, potter, blacksmith, or anyone engaged in a traditional livelihood.

Part Three – Creative Work

Literary Composition: Write a poem, story, and essay based on an incident, festival, or cultural environment of the village.

Documentary presentation: Take photos of important village landmarks, festivals, and daily life activities, farming activities, as well as small video and audio interviews to create a short documentary video (10 minutes) covering all the important questions given in the above two parts.

Guidelines:

• Candidates can choose to do their preferred section based on their interest.
• They are required to do only one, but it is highly recommended to do at least two.
• We are giving emphasis on the creative section, i.e., Part Three. Candidates here will be judged based on their creative interpretation not the accuracy of their data.
• For the other two sections apart from Part Three integrity should be maintained and accuracy of the collected data will be checked.

Final Submission Deadline:

The deadline is 2 months from the date of registration.

Interviews:

Each participant must conduct interviews with at least 5 elderly individuals (aged 60 or above).

• Record the interviews in audio/video format and document their name, age, profession, and photographs.
• Write down the information obtained from the interviews and include an analysis.

Research Work:

Explore and collect information on:

• Old documents, literature, folk ballads, songs, and historical events from the village.
• District archives, gram panchayat records, or oral testimonies from elders can be used as sources.

Creative Section:

• Write a poem, story, or essay based on the village’s culture and way of life.
• Prepare a vision statement for the future of the village.
